Questions we get asked.

Straight answers on cost, timeline, materials and how we work with designers and contractors.

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost in Miami?

Most of our custom kitchens land between $25,000 and $80,000 installed, with the majority of full kitchens in the $35,000 to $60,000 range. A galley or small condo kitchen can come in under $25,000; a large kitchen with an island, a butler's pantry and integrated appliance panels can pass $80,000. The price is driven by linear footage, box construction, door material and finish, hardware, and how much of the job is non-rectangular. We quote from a real cut list, not a square-foot rule of thumb, so the estimate you get is the price you pay.

What is the difference between custom, semi-custom and stock cabinets?

Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes off a shelf, and gaps get covered with filler strips. Semi-custom starts from those same fixed boxes and allows changes to door style, finish and a limited set of widths. Fully custom, which is all we build, means every box is drawn and cut for one specific wall in one specific home - so there are no fillers, the run terminates cleanly, and interior fittings are laid out around what you actually store.

How long does custom cabinetry take from order to installation?

Plan on eight to twelve weeks from a signed contract to a finished install for a typical kitchen or closet package. That breaks down roughly as one to two weeks for shop drawings and your approval, one week for field measurement after your walls are closed, three to five weeks in the shop for CNC cutting, edge banding and assembly, and one to three days on site for installation. Whole-home millwork packages run longer and are usually delivered in phases that follow the general contractor's schedule.

Do you work with interior designers and general contractors?

Yes - the majority of our work comes through interior designers and general contractors, and we are set up for it. We quote from a designer's elevations, produce shop drawings for approval before anything is cut, hold to a contractor's construction schedule, and coordinate our field measurement against countertop and appliance templates. We can also work directly with homeowners on our own.

What areas of South Florida do you serve?

We serve all of South Florida from our shop in Miami, including Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Weston and Boca Raton. Because we manufacture locally rather than importing containers, we can remake a part and get it back on site in days.

How do you structure payments?

Our standard terms are 65% at contract signing, which releases the job into engineering and material purchase, 20% at cabinet delivery, and the final 15% at completion once the punch list is closed. Custom cabinetry is cut to dimensions that only fit one home, so the material commitment happens up front.

Can you build from a sketch, or do I need finished drawings?

A sketch is enough to start. We regularly quote from hand sketches, a designer's elevations, architectural plans, a photo of an existing space, a Pinterest board, or an AI-generated render. What we need before we cut is our own field measurement and a set of shop drawings you have signed off on.

What materials do you build with?

We run European board products along with solid hardwood, veneer, lacquer and slab or shaker fronts. Board lines we specify include FINSA, EGGER, Kronospan, Ultrapan, Lioher, Tafisa, AGT, Merino and Pannellis.

Do you make custom closets and walk-in wardrobes?

Yes. Closets are a large share of what we build - reach-in closets, walk-in wardrobes, dressing rooms, and pantry systems - with the same construction and the same shop as our kitchens. Ranges run from roughly $4,000 for a reach-in to $30,000 and up for a full dressing room with island, glass fronts and integrated lighting.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. FATTO SU MISURA is a Florida company formed in 2020, operating from our own manufacturing shop at 2760 W 79th St, Hialeah, FL 33016. We carry insurance and provide certificates to general contractors and building management on request - which most South Florida condo associations will require before an install date is approved.
